In Tyson’s universe, our big day could be postponed at any time, just like one of his boxing matches. I was having none of it, however, and refused to modify the date. After an ugly slanging dispute with him outside Mam’s house, I decided to end the wedding and our relationship. He assumed I was joking, but when I dropped the big bombshell, he realized I was dead serious.
They made up after a few weeks. Though Paris’ mother, Lynda, had encouraged her to change the wedding’s date and location, she believed the couple would “patch things up,” which they never did. They married in Doncaster, England, on November 21, 2008, with the wedding date still set.
